Levels and tests for kids

A correct assessment of the level is a good start to optimize future progress and make sure skiing will be a pleasure for the kids.

Snow garden : For the youngest who have never skied... they will get the Piou-Piou medal.

Ourson : all of the above , plus : I know how to dress , to put my shoes and skis on. I can use the ski-lifts.

Flocon : all of the above , plus : I can control my speed and make series of snow plough turns with the skis brought back in parallel position in between. I can make an elementary direct line across the slope and test my balance when skiing

First star : all of the above , plus : I can make series of elementary sideslip turns, I can cross a line following a curved trajectory, I can step turn on a light slope.

Second star : all of the above , plus : I can make several perfect elementary turns in a row, I can ski straight over hollows and bumps, I know how to do basic skating steps.
Third star : all of the above , plus : I can practice parallel skiing , go into and get out of a skid and I can skate ski.

Bronze star : all of the above , plus : I can do wide and narrow turns on parallel skis, I keep my balance in schuss.

Gold star : all of the above , plus : I can control my turns and minimize skidding, I can do a wedeln and change the rhythm of my turns, I can fly off bumps and keep my balance.
